I’ve been thinking a lot lately about life. Bad news tends to come in waves. I have friends that have lost loved ones recently and/or discovered that someone they care about has been diagnosed with Cancer. I’d like to think that I appreciate life on a daily basis and it made me think, “How much do your dreams cost?”

I own my own business. It’s challenging at times but I truly love what I do. It was my dream to work for myself and to inspire others. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to continue that dream for the last 5 1/2 years. I learn daily, I value my time and I continually strive to balance my life. When I worked for bigger companies, I made lots of money but I wasn’t really living. I went to work, came home tired, maybe saw a friend or two, went to sleep, and did it all over again. I sacrificed weddings, missed funerals, didn’t have time to walk my dogs or spend quality time with those who mean the most to me. To me, that wasn’t living. My dream was worth more than a steady paycheck. How about you? What are your dreams worth? What are you willing to sacrifice to make them happen?
